Maxine A. Shepard Burke, 86, died on Friday, April 26 in Jeffersonville. Cremation was chosen according to her wishes. A memorial Service will be held at the First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville on the 8th of May at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow along side her husband of 63 years, Herbert Burke, in the National Cemetery in New Albany. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and is survived by her children, Janice Smith of Portsmouth,VA., and Dennis Burke (Mary) of Clarksville, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the First Southern Baptist Church, 215 East Ettels Lane, Clarksville IN, 47129. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements were made by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Indianapolis, IN.
